The Times of Israel, citing Iranian state media, reported that the solid-fuel Jahad missile has a range of around 1,000 kilometers. It was developed and produced by the aerospace division of Iran's Revolutionary Guard (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps).

Iran has also improved the Shahed-136 drone, which Russians have frequently deployed against Ukraine. The new version is called the Shahed-136B. It has new features and a range exceeding 4,000 kilometers.

It is worth noting that the maximum flight distance of the original Shahed-136 was 2,500 kilometers.

Russia receives weapons from Iran

Iran has been supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine and supplying the Russian army with weapons. Notably, in 2022, Russia received Shahed-type attack drones from Iran.

Recently, Iran delivered a batch of medium-range ballistic missiles to Russia. Tehran denied this information, and Russia has not commented. The U.S. imposed sanctions on Iran for supplying missiles to Moscow.

More details on why Iran decided to transfer ballistic missiles to Russia and the potential consequences of this can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.
