In Iran, a heavy water production plant was significantly damaged, causing the facility to cease operations. However, no nuclear materials were found there, according to a post by the IAEA on the social network X.

According to the agency’s statement, the facility in question is located in the city of Khondab, which was attacked a few days ago during the conflict in the Middle East. The strike hit a heavy-water production plant used in nuclear energy.

“Based on independent analysis of satellite imagery and knowledge of the installation, the IAEA has confirmed the heavy water production plant at Khondab, which Iran reported had been attacked on 27 March, has sustained severe damaged and is no longer operational,” the statement said.

The agency also added that there are no declared nuclear materials at the facility.

US is weakening Iran

A week ago, US Central Command stated that it had destroyed an Iranian radar base and observation posts used to track tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Financial Times also reported yesterday that Iran has significantly reduced the intensity of its missile and drone attacks in the Middle East, shifting to a survival strategy.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance has already announced that the operation against Iran will not last much longer. According to him, Washington aims to neutralize Tehran so as not to return to this issue in a year or two.
