In Israel, a Ukrainian family from Odesa was killed in the city of Bat Yam on June 14 as a result of a massive missile strike by Iran. The victims include three children, their mother, and their grandmother, Ynet reports.

According to the outlet, the family had come from Odesa to Israel for the treatment of 7-year-old Nastia Buryk, who was battling leukemia. Her father, Kostiantyn Buryk, is currently defending Ukraine against the Russian invasion.

Nastia was killed on June 14 along with her grandmother and her cousins, 9-year-old Kostiantyn and 13-year-old Illia. Both were students at a school in Bat Yam. One was in the third grade, the other in the seventh.

Search efforts for the body of Nastia’s mother are ongoing. She is also presumed dead.

Ynet reports that Nastia and her family arrived in Israel for treatment back in December 2022.
