Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian officially approved the law to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Earlier, the country's parliament had approved the corresponding bill, informs Mehr News.

According to the media, on July 2, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian enacted the law suspending cooperation with the IAEA. The parliament of Iran approved this law last week. The bill was also supported by the Guardian Council of the Constitution of Iran.

IAEA inspectors will no longer be allowed to enter Iran without approval from Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

Tehran is also considering imposing a personal entry ban on IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. He is accused of supporting the aggressive policies of the US and Israel.

Earlier, Politico reported that Iran has decided to ban Rafael Grossi from visiting its nuclear facilities.

The Israel-Iran conflict

Israel and Iran reached a ceasefire after a 12-day armed escalation.

During the operation, Israel struck well-protected Iranian nuclear sites using drones and aviation. The aim was to stop Tehran's nuclear program development.

In response, Iran launched missile attacks on Israeli cities.

Additionally, on the night of June 22, the United States attacked three Iranian nuclear sites located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Soon after, Donald Trump and several other officials claimed that Iran's nuclear program had been completely destroyed. However, according to media reports citing US intelligence, this was not true.

CNN reported that during the strike on one of the Iranian nuclear sites, bunker-buster bombs were not used. These bombs are typically employed to target well-fortified underground facilities.

In response, US President Donald Trump criticized the American media, calling their news fake.
