Invitation for Ukraine to NATO is not tied to summit in Washington - Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister
Invitation of Ukraine to NATO is not tied to the summit that will take place in Washington from July 9 to 11, 2024, according to Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna.
According to Stefanishyna, NATO does not have a habit of tying important decisions to summit meetings. Therefore, the invitation for Ukraine to join the Alliance is not defined by specific timelines.
"It could be during the Washington summit, it could be with the new NATO Secretary-General. It could be at any moment," she says.
