Reconnaissance troops have shown how they destroy Russian fortifications and positions in southern Ukraine using drones, according to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) on Telegram.

The footage captures the work of the UAV unit Chimera, part of the Tymur Special Unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR). The reconnaissance troops demonstrated how they target Russian occupiers on one of the southern frontlines.

"The video shows the destruction of enemy fortifications and positions, as well as the frantic sprint of terrified Russian forces — who, sooner or later, will meet their fate," the report states.

Russian losses on the front

Nearly three years into the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 867,000 soldiers. In the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,180 Russian troops.

As previously reported by the Ministry of Defense, last year marked a record for Russian losses, both in personnel and equipment. Over the year, Russian military casualties exceeded 400,000.

Additionally, 112 combat engagements were recorded on the front line in the past day, with the Pokrovsk sector remaining the most active.
