Ukrainian intelligence prevented Russian troops from breaking through to the Dnipropetrovsk region. The defenders destroyed enemy fortifications, according to the Defense Intelligence (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.

The footage shows the actions of the HUR special forces from the Bratstvo (Brotherhood) unit.

"Fighters of the Bratstvo unit, part of the Timur Special Unit of Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, thwarted the Muscovites’ plans to break through to the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region," the report states.

The Russian forces attempted in small groups to cross the contact line and occupy firing positions in buildings to amass forces for further attacks on Ukrainian positions.

The intelligence operatives destroyed enemy fortifications in the Donetsk region, and the Russian troops were neutralized by Bratstvo assault teams.

Fighting on the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region

Over the past few months, the Russian army has been attempting to establish a foothold in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy has been trying in small groups to break through and secure positions in settlements along the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Russian troops should not be allowed to establish themselves in even a single settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as Russia would use it as a "victory."

It was also reported that the Russian army allegedly captured the villages of Zaporizke and Novoheorhiivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to the spokesperson of the Dnipro Operational Command, the Russian troops are trying to secure positions there, but they are being destroyed.
