Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is demanding that Belarus remove relay stations for Russian Shahed kamikaze drones from its territory, according to an informed source within Ukraine's Defense Forces.

He explained that relay stations deployed on Belarusian territory are used to guide and adjust enemy Shahed drone attacks against Ukraine.

Russia also uses Belarusian communication systems for its strikes, helping the aggressor state carry out attacks.

"This is the equipment in question. No other equipment is being observed there from the Belarusian border, particularly when it comes to combat assets or strike capabilities," the RBC-Ukraine source emphasized.

What Zelenskyy said

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was not offended by insults from Belarusian self-proclaimed president Alexander Lukashenko.

However, according to Zelenskyy, relay transmitters have been installed on towers in Belarus. This equipment is used to guide and adjust Russian strikes against civilian targets in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president noted that a week should be enough time to remove these relay transmitters.

At the same time, he stressed that if Belarus fails to do so, Ukraine will ensure that the relay transmitters are no longer there.

Notably, it became known in February this year that Russia had deployed a network of relay transmitters in Belarus for its drones.

On February 23, the Ukrainian president hinted that Ukraine had carried out operations aimed at destroying relay transmitters on Belarusian territory. He did not disclose any details.
