Infrastructure damaged, fire in the city: Zaporizhzhia attacked by Russian drones

On the evening of Thursday, March 27, the Russian army launched kamikaze drone strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the region. The attack damaged an infrastructure facility, states the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, around 6:00 p.m. Kyiv time, Russian forces began attacking the region with strike drones, prompting local residents to take shelter. A short while later, Fedorov reported air defense activity and explosions in the Zaporizhzhia region.
By around 8:10 p.m. Kyiv time, Fedorov confirmed an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. He later reported a fire at an infrastructure facility and burning summer houses as a result of the strike.
"These are the preliminary consequences of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. There have been no reports of casualties so far," he wrote.
What is known about the injured
Fedorov reported that one person was injured as a result of the drone attack.
"A 19-year-old young man was wounded in the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia," Fedorov wrote.
According to him, the victim has received all necessary medical assistance, and doctors assess his condition as stable.
Firefighting efforts continue following the attack by enemy UAVs on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. The blast wave and debris destroyed a house in Kushuhum and a summer house in Zaporizhzhia, causing fires.
Consequences of the strikes
Fedorov showed the aftermath of the drone attack on Zaporizhzhia.
"The blast wave and debris shattered windows in several high-rise buildings – reports continue to come in about the consequences of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia," he wrote.
According to him, utility workers have already begun to cover the windows in the affected buildings.
Attacks on Ukraine
On the evening of March 26, the Russian forces launched another drone attack on Ukraine, targeting Kharkiv and Dnipro. Sumy was also under attack.
In the town of Zolochiv in Kharkiv region, several people were injured as a result of the attack, including a 14-year-old girl.
On the night of March 27, Russia launched 86 drones and an Iskander missile at Ukraine.
