India interested in keeping oil prices reasonable and stable - Foreign Ministry
India and the international economy as a whole are interested in keeping oil prices reasonable and stable, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to Jaishankar, the issue of energy trade between India and Russia was raised during the talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the Minister, India and the international economy as a whole are interested in keeping oil prices reasonable and stable.
The head of India's Foreign Ministry noted that the Ukrainian side was informed about the potential scenarios for the energy market's development. He added that the fact that many energy producers are currently under sanctions makes the market potentially very tight.
Indian Prime Minister's visit to Kyiv
On August 23, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kyiv for an official visit. He held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Following their meeting, Zelenskyy and Modi issued a joint statement, agreeing to hold the second meeting of the Joint Working Group on Military-Technical Cooperation.
Additionally, Ukraine and India signed four agreements on cooperation in the fields of medicine, agriculture, humanitarian aid, and culture.
