IMF approves second review of program for Ukraine: What to expect from next tranche
Today, on December 11, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) decided to approve the review of the program for Ukraine. This will allow our country to receive a tranche of about $900 million, according to the permanent representative of Ukraine to the IMF, Vladyslav Rashkovan.
"The Board of Directors (IMF - ed.) today approved the second review of the Extended Fund Facility program, which also enables the disbursement of the third tranche to the Ukrainian government, amounting to about $900 million," Rashkovan wrote.
He posted a video in which the Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, confirmed the information about the program review. The video also features Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Rashkovan, Ukraine will now work on preparing for the third program review, which may take place as early as this spring.
Review of the program for Ukraine
On Friday, December 8, it became known that the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund will consider the issue of the second review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program on December 11.
In the case of the review, Ukraine will be able to receive a new tranche from the IMF of about $900 million.
It is already known today, on December 11, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, against the backdrop of this information, will meet with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva.
