Ukraine may set up a technical group to agree on the terms of the ceasefire if Russia agrees. In the event of a temporary truce within 30 days, it is planned to develop a roadmap for peace, sources told RBC-Ukraine.

Ukraine is considering creating a technical group to agree on the format of a comprehensive ceasefire if Russia agrees to the relevant conditions.

If the Russians agree, a technical group will be set up, probably consisting of the military, to determine the format of the ceasefire and to define the monitoring mechanism and other technical details.

The source also said that within 30 days of the temporary ceasefire, a joint roadmap to peace should be developed, covering all aspects, including security guarantees for Ukraine.

“We managed to reach a good result,” the source summarized.

Ceasefire proposal

Yesterday, the US and Ukrainian delegations held talks in Saudi Arabia, during which Kyiv declared its readiness for a 30-day complete ceasefire. Now a similar step is expected from Russia.

Brussels supports the joint statement issued by Ukraine and the United States, which includes a ceasefire agreement, humanitarian initiatives, and the resumption of intelligence and security assistance.

The EU emphasizes that it is ready to work with Ukraine, the US, and partners to promote a just and lasting peace based on international law.
