The Israel Air Force (IAF) carried out a third series of strikes on command centers of the Hezbollah group in the southern Dahieh district, a key stronghold of Hezbollah in Beirut, reports the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

It is noted that the militants deliberately placed their infrastructure in these civilian areas, using the civilian population of Lebanon as a human shield.

Before the strikes, numerous measures were taken to minimize harm to the civilian population, including the prior collection of intelligence data, the use of aerial surveillance, and advance warnings to the civilians in the area.

"The strikes today were directed toward Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure, and are part of the IDF's efforts to dismantle Hezbollah's weapons production and storage capabilities. The IDF will continue to operate to degrade Hezbollah's ability to carry out attacks against Israel," the statement said.

Israel-Hezbollah war

Since the beginning of the Palestinian Hamas terrorist invasion from the Gaza Strip, militants from the Lebanese Islamic group Hezbollah have been regularly shelling Israeli territory in solidarity with Palestinian fighters.

This year, the confrontation has escalated significantly. Since the beginning of October, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been conducting operations in southern Lebanon to push terrorists away from Israel's northern borders.

The Israeli military's offensive has seriously reduced Hezbollah's offensive capabilities and destroyed its leadership.

A few days ago, Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on Tel Aviv from Lebanese territory. As a result of falling debris, civilians were injured.

According to media reports, Lebanon and Hezbollah have agreed to a US-backed ceasefire plan with Israel.
