'I was watching' - Trump reacts to China’s military parade

US President Donald Trump watched the military parade held in China, calling it impressive, said Trump during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
Trump said he understands why China held the parade and admitted that he observed it.
"I thought it was a beautiful ceremony. I thought it was very, very impressive, but I understood the reason they were doing it. And they were hoping I was watching — and I was watching," Trump said.
Against the backdrop of the parade in Beijing, Trump ordered the US Department of Defense to prepare for deterring Russia and China. At the same time, he said that the US does not seek conflict but accused Russia, China, and North Korea of planning a conspiracy against the United States.
On September 3, Beijing held a military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the war against Japan and in World War II. The event showcased the latest equipment and weapons of the Chinese army.
In addition to Chinese leader Xi Jinping, the parade was attended by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, among others. The three leaders were seated next to each other during the ceremony.
