Hungary has banned the entry of Robert Madyar Brovdi, who led the strike on the Druzhba oil pipeline. Kyiv will act in a reciprocal manner, according to Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha.

"If a Russian pipeline is more important than Ukrainian children killed by Russia this morning, this is a moral decline. Hungary found itself on the wrong side of history. We will respond reciprocally," Sybiga said in response to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto.

Statement of Szijjarto

Szijjarto, on August 28, stated that the Druzhba oil pipeline is of key importance for Hungary.

The minister noted that the country considers Ukraine’s strikes on the oil pipeline as “an attack on sovereignty” and threatened that “no attack will remain without consequences.”

Budapest decided to ban the entry into its territory of the commander of the Ukrainian military unit that carried out strikes on the oil pipeline.

Strikes on the oil pipeline

In recent days, the Druzhba oil pipeline has repeatedly suffered attacks from Ukraine.

The attack on August 21 put the pipeline out of operation for several days due to a hit on the Unecha station.

However, on August 28, the Hungarian oil company MOL reported that the supply of Russian crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia through the “Druzhba” pipeline had resumed after the interruption.

The MOL refineries in Hungary and Slovakia compensated for the interruptions using their reserves, without stopping operations.

Russia, on the night of August 28, carried out a combined strike on Ukraine. Already known are 15 dead, among them four children.
