Hungary demands EU sanctions on three Ukrainians over alleged conscription center death

Hungary has proposed that the European Union impose sanctions on three Ukrainian officials over the alleged death of a Hungarian citizen, reportedly following a beating by conscription officers in Ukraine's Zakarpattia region, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said, according to Telex.
Szijjártó claimed that a "real manhunt is taking place on the streets of Ukraine."
"It is shocking how Ukrainian draft officers treat people, and equally shocking how European political leaders turn their heads away from this unacceptable situation," he added.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Budapest is proposing that the EU impose sanctions on three individuals holding positions within Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces, whom the Hungarian government believes are responsible for mobilization efforts in Ukraine.
Szijjártó did not disclose their names.
Budapest accuses Ukrainian conscription officers of beating Hungarian citizen to death
Recently, Hungarian authorities claimed that one of their citizens was beaten by conscription officers in Ukraine's Zakarpattia region and later died as a result. However, Ukraine's Armed Forces have rejected the allegation, stating the information is false.
Hungarian media reported that the individual in question was József Sebestyén.
According to Hungarian Deputy Foreign Minister Levente Magyar, officers from the Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support allegedly beat the man with an iron rod after detaining him, dragged him into a van, and transported him to a draft office.
Ukraine's Ground Forces stated that József Józsefovych Sebestyén was a Ukrainian citizen who had been mobilized on June 14 this year after passing a medical examination.
On June 15, he was assigned to a military unit for training. However, on June 18, he left the unit without authorization and did not take any weapon with him.
On June 24, Sebestyén personally visited the emergency department of the Berehove Central District Hospital, where he was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction. He was then hospitalized in a regional psychiatric facility in Berehove. According to his medical records, no bodily injuries were found during the examination.
A medical report confirmed that his death on July 6 was caused by a pulmonary artery thromboembolism. No signs of physical violence were found on Sebestyén's body.
