Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's victory plan allegedly involves expanding the war, Magyar Nemzet reports.

"The chances of the war spreading are increasing, and if that happens, who knows where it will stop? We haven't been this close to a world war in seventy years. The king is naked: Brussels bureaucrats have dragged the West into a hopeless war," said Viktor Orbán.

According to Orbán, Ukraine's victory plan is to continue the war, invite Ukraine into NATO, and carry the conflict onto Russian territory. He claimed that Ukraine's plan after victory is to replace the Americans and take responsibility for the security of all of Europe with its own strengthened army.

"So, one day, we Hungarians could wake up and see Slavic soldiers from the East on Hungarian territory. We don't want that," Orbán said.

He added that pressure from Brussels on Hungary and the government is increasing.

"We Hungarians also need to decide whether we want to fight against Russia," he stated.

"We can do the most for Hungarian freedom by not participating in other people's wars," Orbán added.

Orbán criticizes aid to Ukraine

At the October 17 summit, Viktor Orbán once again blocked the EU's efforts to impose sanctions on Russia, which hindered US involvement in granting Ukraine a $50 billion loan. Orban supports Donald Trump, who has criticized funding for Ukraine and seeks to make a deal with Russia.

On October 17, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would either have nuclear weapons or become a NATO member. According to Bild, Ukraine could rapidly develop nuclear weapons.

During a visit to Kyiv, Orbán urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to cease resistance against Russia, lay down arms, and start "peace negotiations." Orbán then traveled to Moscow to meet with Putin.

Later, he stated that the victory plan presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the leaders of the European Union was, in his view, doomed to fail.
