A massive fire has been burning for a second consecutive day at one of Europe's largest fuel storage facilities—the Samara Linear Production Dispatching Station in Russia—following a drone attack, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel.

Eyewitnesses recorded a fire at the facility that broke out following a drone attack on November 2.

On Monday morning, reports emerged that thick smoke was rising above the facility, despite local authorities in the Samara region claiming to have successfully repelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack.

The Samara station is located 30 kilometers east of Samara city. The facility has 71 storage tanks and an estimated total oil storage capacity of more than 1.6 million cubic meters, making it one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy says the country has temporarily suspended crude oil supplies to Russia via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline. The decision was made following a drone attack early Monday morning.

In response to a Bloomberg inquiry, the ministry said pipeline facilities in Russia's Samara region were attacked overnight.

The facility has already been attacked several times in October. Large fires and destruction at the station were recorded on October 2, 7, 10, and 11, 2026. In particular, the October 7 strike reportedly destroyed four RVS-50000 storage tanks.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on October 7, a fire broke out at one of Russia's largest oil facilities—the Samara Linear Production Dispatching Station.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Russian oil and gas facilities in the Samara and Astrakhan regions. The attacks damaged storage tanks, pipelines, and processing units.

Notably, overnight on October 2, Ukrainian drones struck the Samara oil hub.
