The United States' suspension of funding for aid programs to other countries is not yet critical for Ukraine. It's more about projects of non-governmental organizations, says Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine.

“Not really,” she said, answering the question of whether the suspension of non-military US aid has affected Ukraine's social policy.

According to her, Ukraine has a large number of agreements with partners from Europe, with the UK, and with the World Bank, where support is systematically provided.

“And this stop does not concern large projects that are included in the budget. It concerns support for the public sector,” she said.

Zholnovych said that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funds some projects, but there are many other partners.

“Now we are just finding out which contractors will be suspended because funding has just been suspended. So far, it's not critical,” the minister added.

According to the Suspilne media outlet, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine has received an order to suspend projects and their funding.

Ukrainian organizations are receiving letters about the need to suspend activities funded by USAID or organizations dependent on American funding.
