How many high-precision missiles remain in Russia: Ukrainian Air Force spokesman's response
According to the latest data, Russia, as in the previous period, possesses approximately 900 high-precision long-range missiles, informs Colonel Yurii Ihnat, the spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.
"At the same level, the figure remained unchanged. Because during three combined attacks, the enemy used a significant number of missiles. I remind you that on December 29th, there were 158 air attack assets, including drones and missiles. About 100 were used on January 2nd," noted Ihnat.
Did this affect the intensity of shelling?
As the spokesperson for the Air Force pointed out, to avoid being left without resources, Russia is likely to deploy a similar number of missiles during shelling, which it can produce in a month.
"And as for the Kalibr, it's a different story. It's used quite sparingly. It's hard to say why, but during those attacks he mentioned, only 3 were used on January 2nd," added Ihnat.
How many missiles does Russia produce?
In January, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, mentioned that Russia is capable of producing approximately 115-130 strategic missiles with a range of over 350 kilometers. However, the volumes may vary depending on the month due to occasional supply chain disruptions Moscow faces.
"Secondly, they are currently trying to maintain a certain strategic reserve. Typically, this is about 30% of their stocks. Moreover, we clearly understand that everything produced is immediately sent to the battlefield. Speaking of released cruise missiles, during the attacks, products from the III, IV quarters of production were recorded," explained Skibitskyi.
