Houthi drone strikes Eilat in Israel, injuring many civilians

A drone strike of the Ansar Allah organization (Houthis), launched from Yemen, hit the Israeli city of Eilat. As a result of the attack, at least 20 people were injured, reports the Times of Israel.
It is reported that the Israeli Air Force was unable to intercept the Houthi drone. Two missiles were fired at the UAV from the Iron Dome system, but neither hit the target. An investigation is currently being conducted in the Air Force.
At the same time, the ambulance service reported that 20 people injured in the attack have been taken to medical facilities. Helicopters were used by the Air Force to evacuate people.
Among the injured are two men, about 60 years old, in serious condition, one person in moderate condition, and 17 people with minor injuries. Most of the victims sustained shrapnel wounds when the Houthi drone struck the commercial district of the resort city in southern Israel.
It is noted that Israel and the Yemeni Houthis constantly exchange strikes. The Houthis attack civilian infrastructure and residents, while the Israeli Air Force targets military facilities of the Iran-backed terrorist group.
Thus, on August 28, Israeli aircraft struck the Houthis in the Yemeni capital Sanaa during a speech by their leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi. Before that, on August 24, Israeli aviation struck the Yemeni capital, the city of Sanaa.
The previous strike on the Houthis took place on September 10 and was a response to another attempted attack on Israel. At that time, Israeli Air Force planes struck militant camps, the headquarters of Houthi propagandists, and a fuel depot in Sanaa.
