Recipe for homemade glazed curd bars
Ingredients for 9 pieces:
- 700 g full-fat quark (9%)
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 100 g butter (82%)
- 20 g vanilla sugar
- 100 g blueberry or other berry puree
- 40 g sugar
- 8 g cornstarch
- 200 g milk chocolate
- 40 g vegetable oil
- 30 g nuts
Total preparation time: 2–3 hours
Instructions:
Blend the full-fat quark, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and melted butter with a blender until you get a smooth, lump-free paste.
Add sugar to fresh or frozen berries and blend into a puree. Add the starch, then place over heat and stir constantly until it thickens. Let it cool completely.
Using a piping bag, place half of the curd mixture into a mold, add the berry filling, and cover with the remaining curd mixture. Smooth the top and shape the bars.

If you don't have a mold, you can use plastic wrap. Freeze for 1 hour until solid.
Add vegetable oil to the chocolate and melt in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time.
Then mix in the chopped nuts. Skewer the curd bars and coat them with chocolate. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes, and they're ready.
