US President Donald Trump reposted a message claiming that Ukraine allegedly must be ready to give up part of its territories in favor of Russia, according to his page on Truth Social.

Today at noon, Trump reposted a message saying that Ukraine must be ready to lose part of its territory.

"Ukraine must be willing to lose some territory to Russia, otherwise, the longer the war goes on, they will keep losing even more land!” the message says.

Preparation for peace deal on Ukraine

Today, August 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels for a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, and afterward, together with European leaders, he will travel to the United States.

Despite the fact that from the start, a joint meeting of Trump, Zelenskyy, and European leaders had been planned, the reports indicated today at noon that the US President first wants to hold a one-on-one meeting with Zelenskyy.

Their joint meeting with European leaders is expected afterward. In general, Bild found out how Trump will be hosting Zelenskyy and his partners.

Furthermore, today, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that in order to reach a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine, each side must receive something and give something.

However, Rubio later stressed that Ukraine is not ready to give up its territories, and that the United States is not forcing Kyiv to hand over all the regions occupied by Russia to Putin.
