Hezbollah launches massive missile attack on Israel

The militants fired roughly 100 missiles from multiple areas in Lebanon. Sirens sounded in Haifa, across the Galilee, and on the Golan Heights.
This was Hezbollah’s largest attack on Israel since hostilities escalated in early March.
A 35-year-old woman and a man around 50 were injured by shrapnel and hospitalized.
Four others suffered acute stress reactions and received on-site medical assistance.

In response, the Israeli Air Force struck Hezbollah rocket launchers to prevent further attacks. Israeli jets carried out a large-scale wave of airstrikes on Dahieh, the southern suburb of Beirut, considered a Hezbollah stronghold.
The IDF announced on March 2 that it had moved to an offensive campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, following a series of nightly rocket and drone attacks on Israeli territory. The IDF Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, said the military is preparing for prolonged operations, including waves of airstrikes targeting terrorist positions in Beirut and southern Lebanon.
Operation in Lebanon
On March 2, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the start of an offensive campaign against the Hezbollah group in Lebanon. The decision came after a series of nightly missile attacks and drone strikes on Israeli territory.
According to IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, the military is preparing for prolonged combat operations, accompanied by waves of airstrikes targeting terrorist positions in Beirut and southern Lebanon.
