Head of the Ukrainian president's office talked to Jake Sullivan
The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, had a phone call with the National Security Advisor to the President of the US, Jake Sullivan, according to the website of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During the call, the leaders discussed the situation on the battlefield and the current needs of Ukrainian defenders. The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine emphasized the importance of the US House of Representatives approving an aid package for Ukraine as soon as possible, as it is badly needed by Ukrainian forces.
Yermak expressed gratitude for President Joe Biden's recent speech to Congress during the annual address regarding the need to support Ukraine in its confrontation with Russian aggression.
The Head of the President's Office sincerely thanked the US President and his Administration, both houses of Congress and both parties and the entire American people for their unwavering support for Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity, as well as for freedom and democratic values in Europe.
US aid to Ukraine
The US has not provided military and financial assistance to Ukraine for several months. This is because Congress has not yet allocated the necessary funds for this purpose.
