U.S. Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris is expected to address her supporters and the nation in the afternoon of November 6, US time. This will mark her first appearance following her election defeat, citing NBC News.
According to three of Harris’s aides, the vice president is expected to speak to her supporters and the nation from Howard University, where a crowd of her supporters had gathered last night to watch the election results.
Harris’s campaign co-chair, Cedric Richmond, told the crowd assembled on the university campus that they would hear from her at some point today, before sending them home disappointed.
Harris has not yet formally conceded her defeat in the presidential election.

The US presidential election took place on Tuesday, November 5. Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party and Donald Trump from the Republican Party were vying for the White House.
Earlier this morning, November 6, Donald Trump addressed his supporters, declaring himself the new president of the United States.
It was later confirmed that Trump received 277 electoral votes, which is sufficient to secure the US presidency.
