'The Sixth Sense' star Haley Joel Osment was taken into custody after police responded to his erratic behavior on the mountain, reports PEOPLE.
Haley Joel Osment, best known for his childhood role in 'The Sixth Sense', was arrested on April 8 at a California ski resort following reports of "unruly conduct."

In the 1999 thriller, he played the iconic role of Cole, a boy who could see and communicate with the dead.
His performance earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, making him one of the youngest nominees in Oscar history.

The 37-year-old actor was taken into custody by police in Mammoth Lakes and later booked for alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest took place around 2 p.m. local time in the Mill Base Lodge parking lot at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.
"Public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance are the charges related to the arrest," Sergeant Jason Heilman confirmed to PEOPLE.
While the specific substance has not yet been officially identified, a police source revealed it is currently presumed to be cocaine, pending test results.
"We sent it for testing. We will have the results soon," the source stated.
Investigation ongoing as legal outcome remains unclear
As of April 16, Osment had been released from custody, and the Mono County District Attorney’s Office has not yet decided whether formal charges will be filed.
The incident remains under investigation, with no official indictment at this time. The Mono County Sheriff’s Office also released a mugshot of the actor following his arrest. Osment’s representatives have not issued a public comment.
This isn’t Osment’s first brush with the law. In 2006, he pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and marijuana possession after a car crash. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
In 2018, he was also involved in a public confrontation at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas. Despite early fame and critical acclaim for his Oscar-nominated performance in 'The Sixth Sense', Osment’s later career has included various roles in TV and film, along with occasional controversies.
Whether charges will follow remains to be seen, but the actor’s arrest has already reignited public attention on his turbulent off-screen history.
This arrest comes just days after another high-profile incident — Cuban-American actor William Levy was taken into custody in Florida on April 14 for disorderly intoxication and trespassing. His case also remains under review.
