William Levy arrested in Florida on public intoxication and trespassing charges

Cuban-American actor William Levy was taken into custody in Florida on April 14 on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, reports PEOPLE.
Legal troubles and unclear circumstances
William Levy, 44, was taken into custody in Weston, Florida, a city just north of Miami, and later booked into the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale.
According to jail records obtained by PEOPLE, the charges include disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing.
The actor was released the following morning after posting a $500 bond. At the time of reporting, the exact circumstances that led to the arrest remain unknown, and Levy’s representatives have not yet issued a public comment.
This arrest comes almost a year after a highly publicized split from his longtime partner, actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez. The couple had been together for 20 years and share a daughter, Kailey.

In a March 2024 incident, police were reportedly called to their home following a domestic disturbance involving their daughter, one of several incidents noted by law enforcement since the beginning of that year.
A complicated personal life and rising fame
In a candid interview with HOLA! in May 2024, Gutiérrez opened up about the separation:
"I loved William, I think it's no secret that he was the love of my life, as I always bet and wanted to show us as we were. Currently, we are not together. On my part, it was never for lack of love. I think I'm not the same girl I was 20 years ago when he met me. What we want at this moment is different."
While his personal life has made headlines recently, Levy’s professional background remains impressive.
Born in Cuba and later naturalized as a US citizen, he began his career as a model before rising to fame in Spanish-language telenovelas.
He became a household name thanks to leading roles in Sortilegio, La Tempestad, and Triunfo del Amor.

He later crossed into mainstream American media, finishing third in Season 14 of Dancing with the Stars in 2012 and appearing in films such as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club, and Girls Trip.
More recently, Levy starred in the Netflix hit Café con aroma de mujer, which reignited global interest in his career.
The actor has not commented publicly on his arrest, leaving fans awaiting clarity on the unfolding situation.
