Haaland scores 100 Premier League goals quicker than any player ever

Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has set a historic Premier League record. After scoring against Fulham, he became the fastest player ever to reach 100 goals, the official Premier League website reports.
Milestone in a goal-filled thriller
In the Premier League round 14 match, Manchester City faced Fulham away. It was Haaland who opened the scoring in the 17th minute. This goal became his 100th in the Premier League.
Later, he provided two more assists to teammates, who at one point extended their lead to 5–1. However, the City then almost allowed the opponent to make a comeback. The match eventually ended with City's victory in a goal-packed shootout, 5–4.
New speed-scoring record
To reach the three-digit mark of Premier League goals, the Norwegian needed only 111 matches. This is a new league record.
The previous fastest player to reach 100 goals was legendary English striker Alan Shearer, who achieved it in 124 games.

Who Erling Haaland is
A 25-year-old Norwegian striker. He was born in Leeds, England, where his father, also a footballer – Alf-Inge Haaland – played for Leeds United.
Erling began his career with Norwegian clubs Bryne and Molde before moving to Austria's Salzburg. Thanks to his brilliant form in Austria, he signed with Borussia Dortmund in 2020, where he won the German Cup.
In 2022, the striker joined Manchester City and, in his debut season, helped the club win a historic treble. His 52 goals became the most ever scored by a Premier League player in a single season. Haaland received both the Young Player of the Season and the Player of the Season awards, becoming the first footballer to win them simultaneously.
The Norwegian has an impressive collection of individual trophies. In the Premier League, he has broken multiple records, including the most goals in a season and the fastest hat-tricks.
In 2023, Haaland finished second in the Ballon d'Or race, coming behind only Lionel Messi.
