In Vilnius, four individuals, three of whom were intoxicated, tore down the Ukrainian flag and threw it in a trash bin. They were promptly arrested, according to LRT.

According to the Police Department, the culprits carried the Ukrainian flag, then placed it in a garbage bin with a wooden handle, spat on it, and walked away.

Two women and two men were apprehended and taken into custody. An investigation into the desecration of a foreign state's symbol has been initiated.

In accordance with Lithuanian law, they may face fines, imprisonment, or detention for a period of up to two years.

Lithuania's assistance to Ukraine

Previously, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, said that the European Union was approaching a critical moment after political shifts in the United States and Slovakia jeopardized EU and NATO support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

Lithuania also provided sets of radar equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian Navy.

At the end of September, Lithuania's Minister of National Defense, Arvydas Anušauskas, met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov, and announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine.
