According to a statement made by Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, during his address at the "Drone Army" project anniversary forum, the Cabinet of Ministers has earmarked 40 billion hryvnias this year for investments in Ukrainian drone manufacturers.

A year ago, through the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and UNITED24, over 4 billion hryvnias were collected and invested in Ukrainian drone manufacturers. At that time, there were fewer than ten such companies. Today, there are over 40 companies that have contracts with the state, and drone production has increased by tens of times.

Shmyhal revealed that the government has allocated 40 billion hryvnias this year for investing in Ukrainian drone manufacturers.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has removed customs barriers for importing drone components and equipment, increased the profit share for drone manufacturers to 25%, and passed a resolution to facilitate mass production of munitions for drones.

"The video of Ukrainian drones destroying Russian military equipment is the best result and evidence of our joint efforts with Ukrainian manufacturers. Thanks to everyone who is contributing to our victory!" emphasized the Prime Minister.

Government aims to establish new arms manufacturing facilities

The Cabinet of Ministers has designated the development of the Ukrainian arms industry as one of the key priorities in its new action plan. They plan to expand it further.

"Among the key tasks in this (defense) sector, we envisage the development of the defense-industrial complex. Establishing new munitions production, new missile programs, providing the army with drones, including those produced by Ukrainian companies," shared Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

He also mentioned that there are plans for collaboration with partners to jointly manufacture new armaments.

Furthermore, Shmyhal emphasized the desire to actively involve the private sector in the development of the defense industry.

According to Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already equipped with over 20 new models of drones produced domestically.
