Ukraine will receive 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles from the German defense concern Rheinmetall. The supplies will be financed by Germany, according to Rheinmetall's press service.

The company stated that they have received an order for the supply of another 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. The cost of the order amounts to several million euros.

"The delivery will be financed by Germany," Rheinmetall specified.

Overall, the German defense concern has already delivered hundreds of Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukrainian defenders.

Marder 1A3 deliveries

The Marder infantry fighting vehicles in the 1A3 modification are equipped with an additional laser rangefinder for effective and precise target engagement.

The first 20 units of this equipment were delivered to Ukrainian defenders by Rheinmetall in March 2023. After that, supplies continued.

Rheinmetall began the overhaul of the Marder 1A3 in the spring of 2022 using its own funds. Since then, the IFVs have been continuously repaired and delivered for immediate deployment.

It is worth noting that the most recent delivery of 20 Marder 1A3 IFVs to Ukraine by Rheinmetall occurred at the end of October.
