Germany's assistance to Ukraine

In August, the German newspaper FAS reported that on the instructions of Chancellor Olaf Scholz, new requests for funding to help Ukraine would not be approved. About 8 billion euros have already been allocated for military support to Ukraine for 2024, and the budget for 2025 of 4 billion euros has already been fully allocated.

In September, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expressed hope that the government would be able to find additional resources to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine in 2024.
