Germany delivers new aid package to Ukraine: Armed Forces to benefit
Germany has provided Ukraine with a new military aid package. It includes various types of vehicles, shells, and anti-drone systems, states the German government.
The new military package includes:
- four 8x8 HX81 tractors and semi-trailers
- three vehicles (trucks, minibuses, all-terrain vehicles)
- two vehicles for the Border Guard Service;
- five drone detection systems;
- a mobile antenna mast system;
- 3,840 pieces of artillery ammunition;
- 25 laser rangefinders;
- 15 HLR 338 sniper rifles and 60,000 rounds of ammunition.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently held telephone talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The Ukrainian President thanked for the "winter" aid package from Germany, including four IRIS-T systems.
German assistance
Germany has become one of the countries helping Ukraine by providing military, political, and financial support. Berlin has provided several types of artillery, Leopard tanks of old and new modifications, IRIS-T and Patriot air defense systems, ammunition, vehicles, drones, and other weapons.
Earlier, the German government announced that it would allocate 200 million euros to Ukraine. The money will be used to rebuild Ukraine.
It also became known that the second group of Ukrainian operators of the Patriot air defense system had completed training in Germany. 70 Ukrainian soldiers and officers were trained. The training course lasted more than six weeks.
