Germany will soon deliver around 100 guided missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine, the German delegation to NATO announced this on Twitter (X) after the Ramstein format meeting.

The German delegation noted that further support for Ukraine in the form of material assistance and military training was confirmed at today's Ramstein meeting, which involved more than 50 countries.

"Germany will continue to play an important role in this support and announced the delivery of around 100 IRIS-T guided missiles to Ukraine shortly," the statement reads.

Ramstein format meeting

On February 12, the 26th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format took place at NATO headquarters in Brussels. This was the first meeting following the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

The US was represented at the meeting by the new Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. However, for the first time, the Ramstein format meeting was led not by the US but by the United Kingdom.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov summarized today’s Ramstein meeting. According to him, Ukraine received very substantial aid packages from its partners.

In particular, the United Kingdom announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include tanks, artillery, and various types of missiles.
