Russia has concentrated its forces in the Kupiansk and Pokrovsk directions. As of 08:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, the number of enemy offensive and assault actions has increased to 81, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, the Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest. There, the number of enemy attacks has increased to 19. Russian troops are most actively pressing in the Sokol area.

As a result, the Russians are suffering losses in personnel - today it's already 354 individuals. Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers have destroyed a tank, three armored vehicles, seven artillery pieces, a ground drone, and a car. Thirteen units of various enemy military equipment have been damaged as well.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attempted to dislodge our soldiers from positions five times today. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled four enemy attacks, while one, in the Vovchansk area, is ongoing. The enemy has lost 114 personnel in this direction today. Ukrainian defenders destroyed an armored vehicle, artillery piece, seven UAVs, six units of special equipment, and four enemy ammunition depots.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army persists in pressing on the defense of Ukrainian defenders. They attempt to improve their positions in the areas of Druzhelubivka and Cherneshchyna - combat operations are ongoing. Overall, the aggressors have increased the number of assault actions in the Kupiansk direction to 12. Ten attacks have already been repelled. As of now, the enemy has lost 86 individuals killed and wounded, and three Russian combat armored vehicles and a car have been destroyed.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted seven attacks today. They continue to press in the Serebrianske forestry - combat operations are ongoing in four locations. Another battle is taking place near Nevske.

In the Orikhiv direction - the enemy presses in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Shcherbakiv - five enemy attacks have already been repelled today.

In the remaining directions, there have been no significant changes in the situation.

Russia launches a new offensive

According to the General Staff, Russia has begun a new offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region since the beginning of May and has intensified its actions along the entire front line.

Today, Commander-in-Chief of Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the eastern positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and stated that the main task now is to hold back the enemy.
