G7 responds to Russia's attack on Dnipro with Kedr missile: Support for Ukraine remains unwavering
According to a joint statement by G7 foreign ministers, Russia's strike on the Dnipro with a Kedr medium-range ballistic missile proves its reckless behavior. The Group of Seven countries will continue to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence, Reuters reports.
The officials condemned Russia's “irresponsible and threatening nuclear rhetoric.”
According to the statement, the strike with new ballistic missiles on the Dnipro River once again showed Russia's reckless and escalating behavior.
“Our support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence will remain unwavering,” the ministers emphasized.
They warned that North Korea's support for Russia means a dangerous expansion of the conflict with serious consequences for European and Indo-Pacific security. The foreign ministers called on China to take action against such an escalation.
Also, as the ministers clarified in the statement, they want to start transferring funds to Ukraine as part of a $50 billion loan by the end of this year.
Officials promised to take action against groups that help Russia circumvent sanctions.

Last week, the Russian occupiers used a new missile to strike Ukraine for the first time. Russia struck Dnipro with a medium-range ballistic missile at it.
Russian President Vladimir Putin boasted that his country used the Oreshnik missile. It was allegedly being tested during the attack.
