In a fight on the night of April 12, British boxer Tyson Fury defeated Russian fighter Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Stadium in London, according to BBC Sport.

The former world champion fought for the first time in a year and a half after his losses to Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

The bout lasted 12 rounds, after which the judges scored it 120-108, 120-108, 119-109 in Fury's favor.

The Russian started the fight aggressively but quickly tired, allowing Fury to control nearly the entire bout.

The difference in punches during the fight was striking, as Fury outperformed his opponent fourfold: he landed 199 accurate punches, while his opponent landed 59. In terms of clean power punches, the advantage was even more dominant — 76 to 7 in favor of the Briton.

This is Fury’s 35th career victory and his first since October 2023. Until now, he had only lost to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk, twice in 2024.

After the victory, the Briton grabbed the microphone and called out fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua, who was personally present at the bout in London.

"You are next. You are getting knocked out. Believe it," Fury said.

Joshua immediately responded.

"I punched you up when we were kids and I'll punch you up again. You aren't going to tell me what to do, I've been chasing you for 10 years. I'm the boss, you work for me. I'm the landlord. You work for me," he said.

It should be noted that earlier, former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury explained his decision to return to the ring after a year-long break. The 37-year-old Briton also made bold statements about his plans to continue his career.
