Ukraine will receive Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets from France by the end of the first quarter of 2025, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot tells Sud Radio.

“Soon, French Mirages will be flying over Ukraine. At the end of the quarter, as announced by the President of the Republic (Emmanuel Macron, President of France - ed.),” the minister said.

Mirage 2000 for Ukraine

In early June 2024, Macron announced his intention to provide Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighters. At the time, the media reported that Kyiv could receive a modernized version of the French aircraft.

In October, the French Foreign Ministry claimed that the Defense Forces OF Ukraine would receive the first aircraft at the beginning of this year. At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that France had accelerated the process of handing over the aircraft.
