The French Republic will manufacture 78 self-propelled artillery systems (SPAS) CEASAR for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sébastien Lecornu, according to an interview with the official by Le Parisien.

"France will initiate funding for the training of others. Ukraine is ready to provide some of its own resources. It has just purchased six CEASAR systems at its own expense to launch this initiative," he said.

Military aid from France to Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war, France has been one of Ukraine's key allies alongside the United States and Germany. Paris provides active financial and military assistance to our country.

Recently, it became known that France will supply Ukraine with 40 new long-range SCALP missiles, as well as bombs, the quantity of which is not specified.

In February, French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Kyiv to sign an agreement on supplying new weapons to Ukraine. The work on the text of the document is in its final stages.

Ukraine is negotiating security agreements with six countries.

The United Kingdom was the first European country to sign a security guarantee agreement with Ukraine.
