France says there are no red lines in supporting Ukraine
Ukraine can use French long-range missiles to strike the Russian Federation. There can be no red lines in supporting Ukraine, states French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
"The principle has been set... our messages to President Zelensky have been well received," Barrot said.
At the same time, he emphasized that Western allies should not impose any restrictions on support for Ukraine against Russia, and “not set or express red lines.”
"We will support Ukraine as intensely and as long as necessary. Why? Because it is our security that is at stake. Each time the Russian army progresses by one square kilometer, the threat gets one square kilometer closer to Europe," he said.
US authorization for long-range strikes
Last week, the administration of US President Joe Biden decided to allow Ukraine to use the US weapons provided to it to strike at Russian territory.
RBC-Ukraine's sources in military and political circles also said that Britain and France had authorized the use of Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles against Russia but within the Kursk region.
