Participants in the Coalition of the Willing are making progress in developing agreements on security issues in Ukraine. However, it is still too early to discuss specific figures, according to France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot in his interview with suspilne.media.

"I don’t want to preempt the discussions led by our army commander in coordination with the commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A few weeks ago, we held a historic meeting of all army chiefs from the Coalition of the Willing countries," he said.

Additionally, Barrot reminded that recently, the heads of the French and British armies visited Kyiv to meet with Ukraine's military leadership.

"We are making progress in developing agreements on security at sea, in the air, and on land, which will ensure the deterrence of any aggression against Ukraine," he said.

Visit of the Coalition of the Willing leaders to Kyiv

On May 10, key European political figures arrived in Kyiv: the new Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

It is worth noting that London and Paris took the lead in establishing the so-called Coalition of the Willing – an international alliance of countries ready to provide Ukraine with military and other assistance to achieve peace.

Furthermore, upon arriving in Kyiv, President Macron of France outlined three main messages, all of which concern Ukraine.
