France proposes deploying peacekeepers in central Ukraine, along Dnipro River – AP

France proposes to deploy peacekeeping forces in central Ukraine. This is likely to mean deploying troops along the Dnipro River, Associated Press reports.
European military planners are considering many scenarios for the deployment of a peacekeeping force in Ukraine.
A French official familiar with the private discussions said that a possible option, which France is pushing for, would be for members of the "coalition of the willing" to deploy peacekeeping forces in central Ukraine, along the Dnipro River, away from the front line.
According to the official, other possible options for deploying support forces even further from the front, in the far west of Ukraine or a neighboring country, are also being considered.
Peacekeeping contingent for Ukraine
The United Kingdom and France have led an initiative to ensure peace in Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire. A "coalition of the willing" was created, which was joined by more than 20 countries. The goal of the coalition is to unite countries that are willing to provide troops for a peacekeeping contingent or other assistance.
Today, on March 27, the next summit of the "coalition of the willing" to support Ukraine is taking place in Paris. Representatives of more than 20 countries, including EU countries, as well as the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, and Türkiye, have been invited to attend. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also attended. The previous 2 summits were convened by the UK.
Earlier, The Times reported that the UK is ready to send 10,000 troops to Ukraine.
