French authorities must close the borders and take control of the country's situation, US President Donald Trump said.
The White House chief reacted to mass protests that have swept across several French cities.
In his view, migrants are one of the main reasons for the new wave of chaos in the country.
Trump also began claiming that they were responsible for destroying the republic and its greatness.
"France is burning! The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country. Close your borders and take control, before it is too late!" the White House chief said in a new statement.
Earlier, the US president also commented on the start of the protests in France. He said they were linked to uncontrolled mass migration and Islam.
Protests in France
Mass protests have been taking place across the country for several weeks, beginning in schools in the suburbs of Paris.
It began at the Saint-Exupéry high school, where teachers went on strike on September 17, demanding a solution to the teacher shortage.
Students supported the teachers' demands, but the following morning the protest took a more radical turn, with barricades erected outside the school.
Students, trade unions, and supporters of the Yellow Vests movement, who were also protesting rising prices, later joined them.
On October 17, mass protests against the rising cost of living took place in France, drawing at least 550,000 participants.
Riots and acts of vandalism broke out in several cities during the demonstrations. In Limoges, a fire destroyed a 19th-century city hall building, and law enforcement officers detained around 400 people.
