France at UN pledged to continue supporting Ukraine
The Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations, Nicolas de Rivière, stated that Paris will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle against the Russian aggressor, according to the broadcast of the United Nations Security Council meeting.
According to the French representative at the UN, the response to Russian aggression against Ukraine will determine the global collective security of the world.
He noted that Russia is targeting civilians and refusing to provide humanitarian groups access to controlled territories.
"France will continue to provide its unwavering support to the Ukrainian nation to enable its exercise of the right to self-defence," Rivière stated.
Aid from France to Ukraine
Since the widespread Russian invasion of Ukraine, France has been one of the European countries providing active financial and military support to Ukraine.
At the end of December, it was announced that Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots will begin arriving in France next year for training as part of military assistance.
Recently, Paris also expressed its intention to allocate an additional 200 million euros to the support fund for Ukraine, enabling the Ukrainian army to continue purchasing French equipment.
