Foreign Ministry on possible visit of India's Prime Minister to Ukraine: Work is underway
Work is currently underway on the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ukraine. It is still unknown whether it will take place in August, according to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhii Tykhyi.
"This work on contacts, meetings, conversations, and visits is ongoing," Tykhyi said.
He noted that diplomacy never stops working and seeking opportunities to organize leaders' meetings.
"This work is also ongoing now, but I do not want to get ahead of myself, so I will not disclose certain details yet. This is all I can say for now, and I think it is already quite intriguing," added the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
What preceded
Recently, media reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Ukraine in August. The visit is expected to take place in the second half of the month, most likely on August 23.
This is to be the first visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
