What weapons Russia used

At around 3:26 p.m. local time, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Russia was striking one of the most populated areas of the city with GABs. A few minutes later, he clarified that the strikes hit four administrative districts of the city.

In the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts, the GABs hit residential high-rise buildings.

At 4:15 p.m., Terekhov said that in Kyivskyi district, the eighth to third floors of a residential building were hit. Terekhov added that this building had already been shelled at the beginning of the war. It was almost repaired, all the windows were replaced, and the building was prepared for the heating season. Russian forces hit it with GABs for the second time.

“The search and rescue operation is underway. All relevant services and volunteers are working at the site,” he wrote.

Syniehubov clarified that hits were recorded in a 9-story building, at a civilian enterprise, as well as in an open area.

According to preliminary information, today the enemy fired 8 FAB-250s on residential areas of Kharkiv.

Number of victims

According to Terekhov, as of 4:30 p.m., there are 13 victims in the Kyivskyi district, including one dead.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that three people were killed in Kharkiv as a result of the afternoon Russian strike. At least 15 others were injured.

As of 4:50 p.m., it is known about 22 wounded.

As Terekhov clarified, 82 people lived in the most affected entrance of the house in the Kyivskyi district.

"We are now trying to contact all of them to find out whether there may be people under the rubble," he said.

As of 6 p.m., it is known that three people died and 28 civilians were injured. The youngest injured is a 17-year-old girl. The oldest is 87 years old.

"The vast majority of the injured are in moderate condition. Four people are in serious condition. Three people are in the operating rooms. Everyone is receiving the necessary medical assistance," Syniehubov said.

Consequences of the strike

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets showed the first photos of the aftermath.

“Each such case is a crime. They must all be properly recorded, and the perpetrators must be punished! I draw the attention of the international community to this,” he captioned the photo.
