Five explosions rang out in Kharkiv: Damage reported
In Kharkiv, five explosions occurred overnight on March 26 during an air raid alert. One of the drones hit the ground near an uninhabited building, according to the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the Telegram channel of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
At 01:49, the Mayor of Kharkiv reported that after the strike near the uninhabited building, no victims or casualties were initially recorded, only broken windows in the building next to the explosion crater.
Around 01:51, Syniehubov wrote that the inspection of the locations where enemy drones hit in Kharkiv is currently underway. He also noted that air defense forces over the Kharkiv region have downed at least eight enemy drones.
Shelling of Kharkiv
Around midnight, the Russian army launched an attack on the territory of the Kharkiv region using Shahed kamikaze drones. The Chief of the Kharkiv Military Garrison, Melnyk, reported sightings of Russian drones in the region. Air raid sirens were also activated in the Sumy and Donetsk regions. As of 01:22, five explosions were recorded.
Kharkiv lost its Thermal Power Plant 5 due to a Russian strike on March 22. As a result, the city's power supply is being sustained with the help of other regions. The Thermal Power Plant 5 press service stated that exclusive equipment for power units, including turbines and generators, needs to be manufactured for the restoration of the plant.
