Zelenskyy expects first results from US-Ukraine meeting next week

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and the United States are working on organizing a new meeting. The President expects positive results by next week, he said during his evening address.
"Today, our teams - Ukraine and the United States - started working on the meeting. Andriy Yermak and Michael Waltz spoke, and there has been a positive movement. We hope for the first results next week," Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that Ukraine is currently engaging in significant international efforts. Specifically, today, March 5, he spoke with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Portugal, and Slovenia, as well as with the German chancellor. Zelenskyy thanked the European leaders for their support.
He also mentioned that Ukraine is actively preparing for the upcoming EU summit, which will take place tomorrow, March 6, in Brussels.
"And we need to revive progress on the European front, particularly regarding our Eurointegration and the negotiation clusters for EU accession. We rely on the support of our partners," Zelenskyy emphasized.
US-Ukraine meeting
Today, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held a phone call with Michael Waltz, US National Security Advisor. They agreed to arrange a meeting of negotiating teams in the near future.
They also exchanged views on security issues and coordination of positions within the framework of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine and the US are discussing the date and location of a meeting for negotiations on ending the war. Discussions are ongoing regarding the negotiating team.
US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz stated that the officials are discussing the date, location, and team of negotiators that would lead to ending the war.
