Finnish entrepreneur accused of violating sanctions: Supplied drones to Russia
Finnish companies, despite sanctions, have exported drones to Russia that could potentially be used in the war against Ukraine, according to reports from Yle.
Charges have been filed in Finland related to the violation of international sanctions and the export of defense technology to Russia against the CEO of Luminor and Siberica, Gabriel Temini, three employees of Siberica for serious violations of regulatory requirements, and a representative of the logistics company involved in supplying goods for the companies.
The Vice President and Deputy Board Member of Siberica, as stated in the documents, will not be held accountable for the export of defense technology to Russia. The woman stated that at the time of the offense, she was not employed by the companies and did not hold any positions. The documents do not show any evidence that she acted in favor of the companies in this case.
Finnish companies, despite EU sanctions, exported drones and defense equipment to Russia, totaling over 3,500 units of goods worth over three million euros. The suspects deny their guilt.
The court hearing is scheduled for January 26.
